Whether she was hosting MTV's popular video countdown show Direct Effect or TRL, grilling Hollywood superstars such as Will Smith, Tom Cruise or rubbing elbows with music royalty--Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Sean "P.Diddy" Combs--La La held her own. With a girl next door appeal, the veteran of radio (Atlanta's Hot 97 and LA's 100.3 The Beat) mastered the art of hosting and spot interviews. Her skills didn't stop there. La La worked her way into Hollywood, earning small roles in several motion pictures.

Seeking a new direction, La La, host and VJ, is reintroducing herself as Alani Vazquez mother, television and film producer, and aspiring actress. Witnessing the career transformations of friends and colleagues, rapper/actor Ludacris, Alani's co-host on Hot 97's Future Flavas hip-hop radio show and singer-turn-blockbuster actor Tyrese who encouraged her to audition for MTV while on the radio in LA, Alani has been crafting her career carefully since leaving MTV in 2006. Determined to not go down in the history books as "just a talking head", Alani is adding to her repertoire becoming a respected player behind the scenes.
